Privacy Notice

1. Who is responsible

Carlos Cham, trading as Cabo Rods, El Pescadero, Baja California Sur, 23310, Mexico (the "Controller"), is responsible for the personal data you give us through caborods.net. Contact: [email protected].

2. What we collect

Only what you type or upload in our forms: custom rod request (name, email, optional phone or WhatsApp, country and city, delivery preference, notes, and the rod options you choose, including any text you ask us to inscribe); repair request (name, email, optional phone or WhatsApp, a description of the rod and the problem, and any photos you choose to send). We do not ask for sensitive personal data; please don't include any in notes or photos.

3. What we use it for

To answer your request; quote, build or repair your rod; arrange payment, delivery or pick-up; and keep a record of your orders and their warranty. We need these uses to serve you. We don't use your data for advertising and we don't sell it.

4. How it reaches us and who it is shared with

When you send a request, you send it by email or WhatsApp from your own device, with the text already prepared by the site; once direct sending is switched on, the site will send it through Cloudflare to Cabo Rods' email. We don't transfer your data to third parties for their own purposes. It is processed on the Controller's behalf by: Microsoft (Cabo Rods' email and SharePoint), Cloudflare (site hosting and form delivery), WhatsApp (Meta) if you choose it, and Flywheell, LLC (California, USA), which runs the site and the Cabo Rods Microsoft account. These providers may process data outside Mexico and may use it only to provide their service. We would share data with an authority only where the law requires it.

5. Your rights

You can ask to Access, Rectify or Cancel your data, or Object to its use (ARCO rights), and you can withdraw your consent or limit its use. Email [email protected] with the subject "ARCO rights", giving your name, how to reach you, what you're asking for and, for a correction, the right details. We'll ask you to confirm your identity and answer within the legal time limits. Withdrawing consent may stop us completing an order in progress.

6. How long we keep it

Requests that never become an order are deleted after 24 months. Customer records are kept 5 years after the last order for tax and warranty purposes.

7. Cookies and analytics

The site uses no advertising or tracking cookies. We may count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not identify you. Your language choice may be stored in your browser only to show the site in English or Spanish.

8. Changes and the authority

We'll post any change to this notice on this page, with its date. If you believe your rights weren't respected, you can go to the competent personal-data protection authority in Mexico.
